Even though Janie Burkett was raised in a pastor's home, as a teenager she chose a life of bulimia, drug addiction, and alcoholism which eventually lead her to prison at the age of twenty-two. After eighteen months in prison she was paroled stilldealing with her addictions. On December the 18th, 2008, Janie was given a forty year prison sentence for breaking her probation. By God's miraculous power, six weeks later Janie's sentence was over turned and she was sent to Teen Challenge where she found salvation, healing, and deliverance.
From prison to praise, Janie is a testimony of God's Amazing Grace.
Janie's life experiences have given her a reason and passion to speak to people from all different walks of life. Whether you are struggling with a drug addiction, alcoholism, eating disorders, self acceptance, abuse, or incarceration there is freedom for you, Janie has walked that road and has experienced freedom through Jesus Christ.
